2.-4. March 2010, Nuremberg (Germany) - Embedded World 2010

Xylon and Xilinx introduced new logiCRAFT-CC Companion Chip Platform based on Xilinx® Spartan®-6 FPGA. This Xylon developed platform highlights flexibility of Xilinx FPGAs and Xylon IP cores in design of companion chips for popular host processors. Embedded communication interfaces allow for easy integrations with the host processors. Functions of FPGA companion chip include support for missing processor features and specialized interfacing. High-speed processing tasks can be offloaded from the base processor to the FPGA for maximum performance. Xylon provides Linux drivers for the logicBRICKS IP cores currently used by the platform. Xylon demonstrated the PC system based on the Intel® Atom(TM) Z530 processor using new hardware platform as the companion chip. Supported communication interfaces are the PCIe® and the USB. The platform shall be available later this year.

11. December 2009, Wixom (USA) – New Sales Support Agreement Signed

Bear VAI Technology and Xylon d.o.o. announced the signing of a Sales Agreement effective December 7, 2009. Bear VAI Technology (www.bearvai.com) provides world class products in the areas of semiconductors, wireless, power and passive technology. The company will offer its customers Xylon products and services in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The contract has been signed by Mr. Mark Kosiarek (CEO, Bear Vai Technology) and Mr. Davor Kovacec (CEO, Xylon).

18.-20. November 2009, Yokohama (Japan) – Embedded Technology 2009

At the Embedded Technology, Japan largest trade show and conference for embedded system designers and managers, Xylon introduced the new logiHAC development platform for advanced automotive instrument clusters. The logiHAC is a hybrid cluster demo that combines hi-res graphics display and electromechanical gauges, both controlled by several logicBRICKS(TM) IP cores. The platform is based on Xylon's logiCRAFT3 Compact Multimedia Display Development Platform and represents a multiprocessor system that combines the low-cost Microchip PIC 18F2680 MCU and the Xilinx FPGA working as the MCU graphics coprocessor.

20. October 2009, Zagreb (Croatia) - Xylon shall support Xilinx® adopted ARM® AMBA®

As a very active Xilinx Alliance member with IP in the embedded space, Xylon shall support upcoming Xilinx products with adopted ARM technology. It will enable our customers to seamlessly integrate our logicBRICKS IP cores into AMBA bus based SoC chip designs.

> 15. September 2009, Tokyo (Japan) - Akihabara UDX

Xylon, in collaboration with PALTEK Corp. Japan-based provider of silicon and software solutions, introduced the Xylon logiTAP touch-display platform for GUI developments at the 6th Tokyo FPGA Conference. The conference, organized by the non-profit organization FPGA Consortium, presented an excellent opportunity for Xylon products showcasing. Evaluation logicBRICKS(TM) IP cores arouse special audience interest. Fully functional evaluation logicBRICKS IP cores are parts of the logiTAP kit deliverables and enable re-configuration of the whole design kit at hardware and software levels.

Xylon participated in Embedded Technology West 2009 show as the Xilinx's partner for graphics solutions. Booth visitors paid special attention to Xylon logiTAP Development Kit and the demonstration platform for the logiLENS – Xylon Camera Lens Distortion Corrector Accelerator IP core. The platforms, based on Xilinx FPGA technology and Xylon IP cores from the logicBRICKSTM IP core library, demonstrate how end-customers can improve effectiveness and lower overall production costs of their embedded systems. We have thrown a farewell party for our Japanese friends from Sinby Corporation – Xylon Japanese partner. Sinby engineers underwent an extensive training on Xylon products and technologies. The acquired knowledge will increase a level of support provided locally to Japanese customers.

Xylon, in collaboration with Xilinx, introduced the Xylon logiTAP platform for implementing high quality, low-cost graphical user interfaces (GUI) in embedded systems using low-cost Xilinx® Spartan®-3E field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). The logiTAP platform is a full-featured system on programmable chip (SoPC) solution with a touch screen display that enables rapid, cost-effective development, prototyping, and deployment of graphical human-machine interfaces (HMIs) targeting high-volume electronics applications. > 19. December 2008, Graz (Austria) – Xylon Team Building

Xylon cherish an open minded and friendly working atmosphere. This year our team significantly grew up and we decided to spend a day out of our offices. In a quest for a high dose of adrenalin we tried kart racing. Attending team members were divided into two racing groups and we got two champions groups at the end. The evening was reserved for a party in Zagreb restaurant Lady Šram.

> 16. December 2008, Zagreb (Croatia) - Xylon RAIP Receives Golden Tesla's Egg Award in VIDI e-novation Contest

Xylon, a leading provider of FPGA-based embedded systems and optimized IP cores, announced that its Reconfigurable Automotive Instrument Cluster (RAIP) demonstration platform has received prestigious VIDI magazine's e-novation Golden Tesla's Egg award for Croatia's most innovative hi-tech products.

The VIDI e-novation contest, co-founded by Rudjer Boskovic Institute and the publishing company VIDI, has been established in order to recognize the most prominent and innovating hi-tech projects and ideas that represent the best that Croatia has to offer on the international market.

The RAIP platform, based on Xylon logicBRICKSTM IP cores and Xilinx FPGA technology, represents a car subsystem that provides the driver with all the information about driving settings, engine power unit, and different luxury car systems, such as air conditioning or security systems. Moreover, it provides an interface to different Driver Assistance Systems (DAS), such as rear-view parking camera. All the information listed are shown in a graphic form on a high-resolution LCD screen. The RAIP is a unique technological solution in the world market based on the Xilinx FPGA technology.

The target market is the car industry, and graphics solutions presented by the RAIP can be used in other automotive systems, such as Central Information Displays, Navigation and Infotainment Systems, etc.

> May 09, 2008 Zagreb (Croatia) - Government agency BICRO supports Xylon project with $1 Million

Xylon d.o.o.., a Croatian based company focused on creating and licensing intellectual property (IP) cores optimized for use in FPGA, has received a $1 Million from the Business Innovation Center of Croatia - BICRO Ltd.
Funding agreement was signed between Mr. Dalibor Marijanovic, BICRO General Manager and Mr. Davor Kovacec, Xylon CEO. BICRO provides 70% of overall project expenses while Xylon provides remaining 30% from private funds.
Funding will enable Xylon to develop logi3D graphic accelerator optimized for FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). The logi3D will assure shorter development cycles and greater flexibility within lower cost. The use of logi3D is applicable in automotive, medical, industrial, military and entertainment electronics.
